The legacy of Black history is intricate and expansive, shaped by painful memories and magical moments alike. Each of these experiences has helped form what Black culture is today.
So here’s the challenge:
Create a short film inspired by a moment in Black history. Films must be no longer than 5 minutes
Email all submissions to admin@cinematiccreations.agency with the subject line of “BHM Film Contest”
Submissions are due by February 20, 2026
Open to grades 4th - 12th
A screening and awards ceremony will take place on February 28, 2026, at 4:30PM at Birmingham Ephesus SDA Church with a reception to follow.
